...Scaramoush, scaramoush, do the Fantango...

And so it goes on
No end in sight
What do we prefer?
Hope or Fear?
The fear is in the hope ending

Enemies to the left
To the right
You, Me
We are all enemies to ourselves
To master our selves is to master the world

U.N Football

Salaams from Burnley,

Yep i'm in my beloved Burnley for a few days as it's been a while since i've been home plus i needed to discuss some things with my parents as well as my dad not being too well at the moment, hence a timely visit i think.

Alhamdulilla Burnley is still Burnley...just met up with some friends today and discussing the goings on in the local area...do dua. Every time i come back i end up hearing of a graver situation of the Muslims in this area regarding issues which are endemic within the Muslim community throughout the UK i think. It's a very very very sad situation...and worse still given that it's a small Muslim community where where every one knows everyone so you knew person x before he got involved in x,y, z and then you see them now...all power and guidance is in His hands so all we can do is pray and do our best i suppose

Anyway this week and this month generally has been incredibly tough...February is the busiest month in the year and boy have i felt it...! This last week i've pretty much been in at work for 6:45am and left past 9pm everyday and so by Friday when i got home i just collapsed on my bed. Its's been good though as i think i have learnt a lot and held my own in terms of tasks i needed to complete.

With the arrival (and now departure) of the "Fake Sheikh" to the flat this week was also busy in terms of fitting in social activities too (yes, on top of the hours i was doing...!). So last Sunday we played football on Regents Park and it was a pretty good match. Football on Sunday mornings at Regents park has come to be known as "U.N Football" as people turn up in groups of 2,3,4 and so on and then join up with other random people and get a game going. I think it's pretty cool how this happens and feeds the whole "sports bring people together" idea as you often end up playing in a game with loads of people you've just met with upto a dozen or so nationalities being represented (hence the name). With the Fake Sheikh now on his way back though, the aim is for the rest of us to make it out for a game every Sunday morning...inshaAllah, inshaAllah....

Sleepy time,
Salaam
